About us

An independent media studio for creativity, accessibility, and impactful storytelling.

Jho Media uses arts and advocacy to inspire a new generation of Nepali youth — sharing ideas across barriers through interviews, conversations, and roundtables that put people first and politics aside.

A studio for the public good.

We’re in the business of sharing ideas across barriers — through interviews, conversations, and roundtables that put people first and politics aside.

Nepali media used to be a vector for honest inquiry — for the curious, the contrarian, the patient. We built Jho Media to bring that back.

We sit with founders and farmers, scholars and activists, elders and students — to surface the raw, messy and relatable wisdom that can’t find a place in legacy media. People-driven. Politically unaffiliated. Built for the next generation of Nepali youth.

Institute for Indigenous Affairs and Development

Our main collaborator, the Institute for Indigenous Affairs and Development works to advance the rights, voices, and development of indigenous communities across Nepal. Together we bring underrepresented stories to a wider audience — pairing on-the-ground expertise with the studio’s storytelling to make these conversations accessible to a new generation.
